Red Hat has released version 9 of its Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) solution as a beta. It runs on upstream kernel version 5.14 and includes quite some new security features. 
Private cloud and  and dedicated server solutions provider, Hivelocity, is now including AlmaLinux OS with their custom dedicated server options. As an open-source Linux distribution built for and around the CloudLinux community, AlmaLinux offers users a free, enterprise-grade OS alternative to distributions like Fedora and Red Hat. 
The new Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.4 release features Red Hat OpenShift Plus, a new platform that provides support for 3-node clusters and remote worker nodes. This makes it possible to apply Kubernetes to edge devices with low power consumption. But there are more edge capabilities added to the RHEL platform.
